• Anxiety Disorders/OCD

  • The term anxiety refers to some biological changes that occur in our bodies that affects our way of thinking and behaving. These changes are designed to help us cope with threats or hazards, especially in situations where we need to react quickly to defend ourselves. The most common cause of anxiety is a person’s inability to cope with stress factors that generate feelings of insecurity and uncertainty, incompleteness or worry about the future. The goal of treatment is to help individuals identify the difference between the “threats or hazards” and the feeling of uncertainty and how to cope with it.
